Behind the Vision
Prior to making real estate his focus, Craig James spent 20 years on Wall Street in equity derivative trading, and 8 years abroad in Hong Kong where he last served as the CIO and Founder of Expedition Advisors Ltd, a long-biased volatility hedge fund. It was during his time in Asia that Craig spent over 5 years in corporate serviced apartments and actually "lived the problem" that he set out to solve. Namely - a better mousetrap for corporate extended stay travel.
Formerly, Craig was the head of equity derivatives facilitation trading at Deutsche Bank Group in Hong Kong, and also worked in New York as a volatility trader at SAC Capital Arbitrage LLC. Mr. James received his MBA in Finance from the University of Texas-Austin and his BA in Liberal Arts and Economics from Wheaton College. Craig is an avid fisherman, a struggling piano player, and refuses to play pickleball no matter how popular it becomes.
